two little fishy...

Father's Day has come and gone, but who says we can't celebrate them more often...
Used the little fish from the new release this month over at Whimsie Doodle. Reversed the image and enlarged to create the blue fish. Also, found a jar image on the doodlecharms cartridge from Provo Craft for which I then created into a shaped card (5" size with shadow die cut). Not to late to celebrate dad...

let's take a ride...

I recently was able to work with some amazing KaiserCraft products and was waiting for the moment when I could use this adorable chipboard bike...Used my Copic markers to enhance the colors a bit on the basket of flowers and added glitter to make it sparkle...only wish my bike looked like this. Also, I used Spellbinders scallop square and some twine to create a custom threaded look. The stamped scroll images comes from Pink Persimmon, swirl journal set.Of course had to add a touch of fabric to the bottom...wherever I can fit that in makes me smile. Wishing you a very happy weekend and see you back here on Monday!

missing you...

Three years ago my grandmother passed away and deeply miss her presence in my life. Her laugh and smile are still a vivid memory...only wish my kids could have spent more time getting to know her. So today I celebrate her and all of the wonderful memories I have. This project was created for Glue Arts, KaiserCraft week. Perfect combination of products to showcase a photo of my grandmother and I at my wedding...oh so long ago :) This photo was hanging on a bulletin board on my craft room wall and needed a beautiful frame to surround it. Remember, step by step instructions can be found on the Glue Arts blog.

Thank you for allowing me to share today and as I sit here with a few tears rolling down my cheeks I just remember how much she loved me and how lucky I was. Miss you...

it's your day...

Today is another Nikki Sivils day combined with my new Provo Craft Cricut Expression and Spellbinder die cuts. In the following project I have used the storybook cartridge (label, butterfly, branch), home accent cartridge (frame) and heart circles. I used a clear 3" x 3" box with four die cut labels to create the base of the box. I then used two cord brads from Nikki Sivils along with two strips of stitched paper to create the handle. To fill the box with some goodies...I created four identical mini cards. Used a variety of Nikki Sivils papers including "it's your day", "it's raining it's pouring", "beatrice" and "summer".

Have an amazing day and hope you were able to hop along with us at Really Reasonable Ribbon yesterday. If you haven't had the chance yet...check out the post below.

I used the graduation hat from an owl image and this little beaver with the logs...which are separate images. My college mascot was a beaver so I had to use it...oh my, oh my he is cute.
