bird call...

Being out and about with my little men lately and noticing the little calls of the spring birds. A little tune or chirp and stopping just a few moments to listen. Something worth stopping a chaotic day for. So decided to share a couple of projects featuring these amazing little creatures. The first card and treat baskets below is for Glue Arts today...all about Easter (which by the way is this weekend and happy to have found that out a couple of days ago...time to make the shopping and activities list!).Used a combination of Pink Paislee Spring Jubilee collection (fitting), Papertrey Ink dies and stamps and of course Glue Arts to give it the pop it needs. Yesterday I found myself cleaning up a messy office/craft room...and of course, led me to create something. Pulled out the fabric, Heidi Swapp and Pink Paislee products and a little bit of this and that. First created the card...Love all of Heidi's new products...just amazing color, detail and the variety! Added a flower by layering a doily, fabric that I cut and fringed a bit and a crochet flower that I created a while back.Added a couple of Pink Paislee's butterfly chipboard stickers (attached using wire) and a Heidi Swapp flag.
Can't forget my coordinating Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon. Also wanted to using felt and fabric together in some way and came across a little tin in my collection...dressed it up and added a little felted bird to the top.
Created a fabric fringe garland (as you would find with crepe paper) by just simply stitching down the center of a 2" x 10" layered strips of fabric, cutting in until you meet the stitched line every .25" or so and ruffle it all up. Die cut a circle from Glue Arts UCut It Foam and added it to the top of the tin. Removed the backing and added the fabric garland in a circle to cover and create a next of sorts. Then added another crochet flower and the little bird. Fun and bright!
Time to snuggle with my little man who is home finally feeling a little better today. Be back tomorrow with a new project from Precious Remembrance!
