It is Wednesday, which means it is time to share another project using adorable new stamp sets from Precious Remembrance! As shown in this tutorial, these gifts are perfect for stacking onto your project. Used both the Calendar Stamp Set and Birthday Stamp Set on this card.Additional Supplies: Pink Paislee (paper), My Mind's Eye (paper), BoBunny (paper), Piggy Tales (chipboard frame), Fancy Pants (felt stars), American Craft (ribbon), Remember Me Emily (vintage tag, buttons), stick pin. You may have been noticing my love of creating little gifts sets this past week. Working on my fabric and felt crafting and digging into supplies that have been sitting unused for a little too long. So today I am sharing an easy cupcake pincushion that is sure to look sweet in any craft space.1. Take a small tin and add poly-fill, about 3/4 full. Add fabric, lace and ribbon around bottom of tin as desired.
2. Take a 3" x 18" (depending on the thickness of materials and size of tin) of fabric and quilt batting, fold in half and stitch towards bottom (where open edges meet). This will keep the fabrics together.
3. Create the cupcake by rolling the fabric until it is in a complete spiral, bringing the center up to a point slightly to create cone shape. Add to tin. Apply a hot glue along inside edge to keep it in place. You may want to add a little throughout the spiral as well.
4. Add felt leaves and flower.
Then I created a quick pocket and card set to match...This flower is similar to the one added to the pincushion. Layers of fabric and yarn with a few beads to top it all off.
Edited To Add: April 2012 Papertrey Ink Blog Hop Project
The cards were created using Pink Paislee's London Market papers and stamps, Papertrey Ink label and fence dies, Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon and a punched heart from Epiphany Crafts. Now to see what is next. I have a box of goodies that may be perfect for my next project...wooden spools, chipboard houses, oh the possibilities!
