Realized that I don't craft inspirational quotes as often as I would like to. There is something about reading just a simple sentence that can lift your spirits. Working with a little wooden house, found here, and thought it was a perfect place for a typed quote. Used Word and Consolas type to create this...printed on heavy cardstock. Used a few of my favorite Pink Paislee products, Papertrey Ink stamps and die cuts and topped it off with a few wired Fancy Pants felt pieces. Giving it a whimsical feel. As you know, had to create a little gift set...
Used a embroidery hoop, fabric, batting, felt and fabric. The stamped "dream" comes from a Prima mini stamp set. Included both sewing machine stitching and hand stitching. Covered the back in felt, hoop with lace and added ribbon to the top. Created a card as well using the same quote and felt pieces. Used the felt stars and heart with stick pins.
One card before I go about my day...
Recently had the opportunity to work with Pink Persimmon's Cupcake Party Stamp Set and wanted to use the set in a slightly different way. Created a little apron and hand cut a pocket. Stitched them up, added a little heart from Epiphany Crafts, candles from Papertrey Ink's cupcake set and accented with pom-pom trim and Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon. The pocket is from Melissa Frances and used the Button Boutique set from Papertrey Ink.
Had a lot of fun creating this card. Perfect for birthday, mother's day and I am sure there are many more occasions perfect for this card. Also, a perfect card to use a bunch of scrap pieces of paper...something that is always supply!Andrea
