The search was on yesterday for a little something new, using my felt and fabric stash. Flipped through a few of my stamps, scanned Pinterest for some inspiration...and it's all about applies today. As we near the end of the school year, a perfect time to bring out your supplies and create something for that special teacher. The project began taking "shape" after creating the larger card. Used Papertrey Ink labels to create a background. A little October Afternoon, Crate Paper and The Girl's Paperie paper to add the splashes of color. The apple stamp is from Paper Smooches; however, love Precious Remembrance heart stamp from the Calendar stamp set so I used that to create the seeds. Added a little felt leaf to the apple as well. Additional stamps from My Mind's Eye.
To create the apple gift bag I simply cut the apple shape from fabric freehand. Stitched it on to felt and cut out. Stitched the two pieces together to create the pocket, while adding the ribbon as you stitch. Freehand cut the leaves and stem and die cut the seeds from Papertrey Ink's heart border die. Something about the pink apple that just says "happy". Have a few quiet evenings ahead and trying to decide what to create next. Any ideas?
