top it with a bow...

Hello Friday, what do we have planned today?  After a busy day out yesterday, it is quiet here this morning.  No where to rush off to, no need to get all dolled up (not that that usually happens any way), plenty of time to use my new floor steamer (always fun to use a new gadget...just hope it works) and then setting aside some time to catch up on crafting.  To to start a day off, a little Pink Paislee will do the trick.  Today my project is posted on the Pink Paislee blog and showcases the new Declaration line...
PP Supplies: Declaration, London Market and Indigo Bleu.  Additional Supplies: Creations by AR (bag template), Pro31 Designs (doily), Hiedi Swapp (heart sticker), stick pin, glitter.

Enjoy your day and weekend!

fold, embellish, repeat...

Happy morning, afternoon and evening to you!  A little drizzle is still doing its thing outside making for another cozy and relaxing day inside the house...and we seem to have made the most of it.  The couch cushions have been scattered about to create the daily fort in the center of the living room, my craft supplies are spread across the dining room table and no rushing around trying to get anywhere.  Beginning my morning with a little project share for Riddersholm Designs and Chic Tags posted on their blogs today.
A little soft and vintage with bold and colorful.  A perfect mix of layers and color for a day like today.

color...

There is something about the combination of pink and aqua that put a little pep in my step, smile on my face and keep the creative wheels spinning.  Sorting through a few of my recent projects for today's collage and quickly realized a pattern of color combinations that I tend to fall head over heels for.  What are the colors you like to craft?

Now to announce the winner of the stamp set from Precious Remembrance...Lou!  Congratulations and send me an email at andreascreativepapertrail@hotmail.com so I can send it out to you.  In just a few days a new release from Precious Remembrance and I know you will love it as much as I do!  Enjoy your day and maybe craft a little with your favorite colors or using the ones I shared above.

fly like the butterfly...

There is something about adding a butterfly to a project that puts a big ol' smile on my face.  Everything from die cutting, stamping, pre-printed die sheets, cutting from patterned paper or even going digital.  They give a project movement, dimension and color...the three items I tend to live by when creating.  Whether you embellish, layer or stamp them...it is a place you can have butterflies all year round.

and it blooms...

Whether their hand cut, die cut, ripped, stitched or gathered...fabric flowers make my craft room a happy place.  The frayed layers, the color and volume give a project a soft, girly touch that is sometimes required in a house full of boys.  Each time one is created it is unique, which I truly love.  So, for the second day now, a little collage of fun and frilly fabric embellishments that show how pro-fabric I am when it comes to creating.

felt like having fun...

"Felt" like having a little fun putting together a few of my felt projects from the past couple of months in a mini collage.  Absolutely love the way it looks, color combinations and what it adds to a project.  Whether the entire project is felted or it is just an accent...ahhh, I am in love.  Just popping in quickly before the day gets away from us here.  Hope you are having a great day and don't forget to enter the Precious Remembrance giveaway I have below.  You have another day to do so!  Also, check out my Etsy shop for some new felt goodies over the next few days.  Enjoy.

going vintage...

Good day to you all!  Off to a great beginning to the day and all smiles as we prepare for a day out with friends we have missed so much.  The craziness of the school year, new careers, family activities, sports, sick bugs..only a few things that have gotten in the way of our regular visits.  So we are all smiles this morning and watching the minutes tic by before we get to see them.  Of course...first things first...
A little blog post to wake up the creative side today!  Created two cards for the Vintage Street Market post today.  Each card features a mix of materials: paper, fabric, vintage trims, burlap mesh from Pro31 Designs and Vintage Street Market goodies.
Recently came across this aqua fabric and fell in love, end of story :)  Check out my shop in the next couple of days for some fabric garland trim and fringe trim using this fabric.
Paired it with this vintage lace my mother sent me and....sigh...

Before I get to the days events...don't forget to enter the stamp giveaway HERE and The Ribbon Girl Challenge HERE.

flies...

It's Thursday, I think...on a summer schedule of not knowing the time or day, and gotta say I kind of like that.  Unplugged the alarm clock for the time being and scheduling our activities for later in the evening when the heat outside cools enough to avoid melting.  Wanted to pop in today to share a couple of cards created yesterday using my new fabric garland embellishments sets in my shop...
In this card I simply used approximately 6" of the fabric garland (folded in half) and mounted on to the card using Glue Arts 3d foam and a little craft glue at each end.  Also added a felt heart stick pin that can also be found in the set.  Papers used on this card are Crate Paper, Lily Bee, Pink Paislee and Webster's Pages.  A second card using one 5" layer of fabric garland...
Also used the tag and felt stick pin that came with this set.
So excited about these sets and will be coming out soon with a variety of colors!  Hope you are all enjoying your summer and getting a little time to sneak away to your creative space.

she sews...

First...the winner of my giveaway is LISA (number 3).  Send me a quick email at andreascreativepapertrail@hotmail.com to I can send this set out...yeah!  I have been working away on my Etsy shop the past few days trying to come up with items that I can keep stocked, represent me and uses my favorite items...a little mix of fabric and felt.  So check out my shop HERE to see what is happening...
With saving everything tiny piece of scrap paper, felt, fabric and ribbon that has every crossed my path I believe in creating sets that have multi-purpose uses.  The flower set above is tucked away in this pocket, added a vintage inspired journal tag inside and closed the package with a felt bobby pin.  I have also packed a few sets of fabric garland that I have used frequently on my altered items and cards...
Each set will include 21" of fabric garland, tag, two felt stick pins and handmade badge.
And, my favorite combination of shapes so far...

Perfect for embellishments and accessories.  These items and more will be featured in my shop on a regular basis in a variety of colors.  I will also be featuring them on projects throughout the next few weeks.  Stay tuned...

she reads...

Celebrating a little Epiphany Crafts and Authentique today with a bookmark gift set.  I love my felt...the softness, colors and ease to work with...and perfect for creating pieces like this.

Bookmark Supplies Needed: felt, Spellbinders  (scallop rectangle), Papertrey Ink (oval from limitless layers), Authentique (stickers, paper), ribbon, Epiphany Crafts (metal setting, oval punch, oval bubble cap), metal ring, wire, glass beads, sewing machine.

1.  Die cut two layers of felt and one layer of paper using Spellbinders die.
2.  Die cut oval in one layer of felt (just make sure that you have plenty of room on all sides to stitch).
3.  Add stickers to paper.
4.  Cut small strip of ribbon.  Add metal ring to ribbon, fold in half.
5.  Layer felt, paper and felt to stitch along outer edge.  As you go, stitch in ribbon to top of bookmark (sandwich between layers). Stitch around oval cut out.
6.  Add quilting pattern to felt by stitching lines.
7.  Add Epiphany Crafts metal setting to ribbon piece.  Add wire and beads to complete.
Then used a large vellum envelope to create a holder by trimming, stitching and die cutting.  Embellished with Epiphany Crafts button (backed with fabric), Authentique, Papertrey Ink frame die and Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon.  Used the same oval to die cut front of pocket to see bookmark.  Then came the card...
Enjoy your day!

she sparkles...

Do you save your scrap pieces of paper?  If so, how do you store them?  After years of running an Etsy shop, design teams and really for the love of crafting...I have kept it all.  I have two very large and very full storage bins of paper and when I pull out a piece...and sometimes as small as 1" square the brand, collection, and original purpose still comes to mind.  This is just how crazy I am for paper and realizing that somewhere down the road I will have a use for it...which is why my cards usually have a mix and match of paper pieces.  Tried to imagine dumping a bin, but when I begin going through them it just makes me happy.  So I switch between bins each month and rediscover papers that I love and may have forgotten.

Before we are off on our first summer outing, wanted to stop in to share two cards.  The first using products from Pro31 Designs, Pink Paislee, The Ribbon Girl and Crate Paper.  The second card using Dear Lizzy, Chic Tags, The Ribbon Girl, Papertrey Ink and Precious Remembrance.  I will be announcing the winner of the giveaway on Monday.  Also, my shop will begin to fill up with embellishments, flower sets and much more in the next few weeks.  Stay tuned and enjoy those paper scraps on your project today!

is smiling...

Oh how I love Crate Paper...let me count the ways.  I was so honored to be asked to Guest Design for Crate Paper this month (blog post here).  Loved it all and made sure I showcased all of their beautiful papers, buttons, stickers and those adorable itty bitty clothes pins.  My first project was created from a wooden knob, wire and practically a little of everything Crate Paper...
Created five hanging tags as the background for each photo, which all can be changed out as you wish.  After completing the first project, at some point, creating my own clock came to mind.  Walked the aisles of the craft store and in the wood working section found the pieces for making this...
Used the Crate Paper wood frame, one layer of paper and one layer of chipboard to create the top clock portion of the clock.  The large circle base was covered in layers of paper and stickers, added a screw to hang the clock and all set. Now my little men have requested a "boy" version for their rooms.  Just be prepared to pull out the power drill for this one.
And, needed to create a couple of cards using those amazing chipboard stickers...

Aahhh...still in love :)  Hope you are all enjoying your day!
