when you use it all...

Good morning...and what a very happy day today!  My boys are on their way home and I couldn't be more excited and know the minutes are going to pass by too slowly for me, but plenty to do to fill today.  Here to share a card today for Epiphany Crafts which will be up on their blog today.  Used a bit of Pink Paislee's new line Portfolio.  Stitched Epiphany Crafts flower punch shape onto cardstock, avoided trimming the thread.  Used felt to back Epiphany Crafts buttons.  Used wrinkle ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique, stick pin from The Ribbon Girl and attached a heart using this tiny pink clothes pin attached with the stick pin.

Today is the last day to enter my giveaway.  I will post a winner tomorrow along with a project for Chic Tags.  The boys will probably be sleeping in with a three hour time difference to adjust to then off to the pool with friends.  We are all waiting for their return and ready for some play time!

Have a wonderful day and let the countdown begin...

presenting...

My hand is a little sore, I have butterflies in my tummy and ready to get this thing rollin'!  I am beginning the release of digital tags...yeah...and wanted to share before my house gets a little crazy once again in just a matter of days!  This takes me back to my college days when I wanted so much to go into something artistic.  With three years of business studies under my belt the possibility of me changing majors for the third time just seemed crazy.  So I filled my schedule up with electives that where I could do anything creative.  Through the years, prior to staying at home with my boys, I used my love of design any chance I could through creating company newsletters to presentations.  When I left my career I fell in love with paper crafting...as many do.  Recently I rediscovered my love of digital design and hope one day it will guide me into something I that is just the perfect fit.  It is time to combine the love of digital designs with the love of stamping, die cutting and all things crafty...

edited to add "checklist" digital set...

So I am introducing four new digital tag sets to begin on my Creative Paper Trail Etsy shop.  Through the use of similar color palette and patterns, makes them perfect for combining in one project and layering...as I love to do.

If you don't do digital, but like the tags...I will be posting printed sets as well shortly.  There will also be the option to custom create tags if interested.  Make sure to take advantage of the CREATIVEWITHCPT 15% off coupon code through the middle of August if you are looking to make a purchase.  If you love to print out your tags as you go, to the size you like...or even crop away for the perfect layered look...digital is fun!

Also...don't forget to enter my giveaway HERE before Tuesday at midnight.  You could win a $10 gift certificate to my Etsy shop.

round about note...

I know it's the weekend, my last weekend without the boys, and I should be off melting under the hot sun and enjoying the freedom...just can't get myself out of the house for more than a couple of hours.  When the boys are around I want to go out, keep them involved and active outside the home.  When they are away...I find myself inside with the curtains drawn taking things at a different pace.  I am beginning to see how my parents may have felt when we all moved out of the house and across the country.
One thing I am grateful for is the calm...moments to myself to create, reflect and not have to feel rushed.  So as I prepare for their arrival in a few days I am so excited to introduce my new digital images...now up to four sets that will be shared in just a few days.  I will be sharing projects here all week using these and hope you enjoy!  This card uses two images from "round about" and "take notes".  I have loved using my favorite colors to design the backgrounds, characters and layouts.  Reminds me how much I miss working with these programs.  Stay tuned for more and hope you are out having fun this weekend...

surrounded with vintage trimmings...

If you love your die cuts as much as I do...you end up with something like this.  Created this set today for Riddersholm Design.  When I began to play around with the new mulberry flowers I thought...wreath.  So I went to work die cutting and layering one of my favorite leaf dies in my craft room.
Add my fabric trim, Riddersholm Design ribbon and some vintage buttons.  And, of course, a set is not complete without the card...
Have any fun plans for the weekend?  Off to the post office this morning.  Wishing you a wonderful weekend.  Don't forget to enter the giveaway HERE if you haven't already.  So much fun things to share next week as I reopen my Etsy shop.  Also, have you heard about this...
Just head on over to Pink Paislee to get one...or two.

here comes the sun...

Oh, well hello there...hope you are greeted with a bit of sunshine today, or a few clouds if you are in need of a break from the heat like we are here.  Pulled back the curtains today, laying out my lists and getting to work.  Working on something vintage and layered to share for tomorrow from Riddersholm, but first...a little something posted on the Chic Tags blog yesterday.
A few new die cuts from Papertrey Ink matched perfectly with the sentiment tag from Chic Tags.  Cut out a small heart from the vintage valentine tags and pinned it to the white chipboard cloud.  Something cheery.  Don't forget to enter my giveaway HERE by next Tuesday...when I will be at the airport pacing the floor until my little ones and mom arrive!  So excited to have them home and will have my crafty, best cook in the world mother here for a couple of weeks....yeah.

Have a great day...

fold, tuck, embellish...

Oh how I love today.  One day closer to seeing my boys, finally slept in a little, got lunch out, working away on a few new projects (a few which will be top secret for several months, ahh!), closed up my Etsy shop for a few days to play catch up and putting the finishing touches on my second digital tag set!  So what would be better on a day like today then to share a card that is full of color and layers, which I love so much of course.
My love for Precious Remembrance stamps has worked its magic on me again this week as I adore the handwritten clear stamps from all of the sets, but especially the new Positive Thoughts set.  Mixed with bits and pieces of colorful paper and bright yellow ribbon from The Ribbon Girl Back to work, but thank you for all of the positive feedback so far on the digital images...the ideas keep coming...and don't forget to enter the giveaway below for a chance to win a gift certificate to my shop (once it reopens of course).  Hope you are having a lovely day and be back tomorrow with a project from Chic Tags!

jumpin off the page with a giveaway...

From the phone calls sharing their summer adventure to the ones letting us know they got hurt it is a mixed bag of emotions.  One week remains and my little ones come home...yeah!  So am I filling this week with lots of projects, catching up, getting ahead and doing a little just for fun.  Today I am sharing with you a project created for Epiphany Crafts this week, who is partnering with Tombow to bring you some fabulous projects.
Here I used my scrap pieces of paper and a tag theme to create a mini card set.  By using the Epiphany Crafts punches, I layered the punched shapes and stitched them onto the tag.  Fold them up slightly and you have a embellishment that pops off the page.

And before I head out...

(one of the images that will be in my second set of digital tags.)

You have until next Tuesday to enter.  Enjoy your Tuesday where ever you find yourself today!

happy heart...

It's Monday and energy is on the low side today after an evening of tennis in the rain.  How is your day going?  So, as mentioned in a couple of the posts below, I have been working on a few of my own digital labels and completed the first set last night.  From creating the backgrounds to picking the colors, it is all so fun and wanted to share them here today!  I am a few days away from posting them in my shop, a few things to still get finalized, but here we go.
As mentioned, there is a total of five labels in this set "Bright Days".
I wanted to show how you can embellish them with buttons, print out a duplicate and layer them, as shown in heart tag, or add a touch of glitter.
There are still a few details to figure out, but here they are!  If digital tags are not your thing, I will be printing out a couple of set that will be embellished to list separately as well.

Last week, Epiphany Crafts had the challenge to be inspired by a photo on Pinterest and craft it...

Realized it had been awhile since I pulled out the polymer clay and used it to stamp "wish" into the metal setting.  Love the little charms in the inspirational photo.  So beautiful!  Used Prairie Bird Boutique wrinkle ribbon, "xo" stamp from Precious Remembrance, twine from The Ribbon Girl and paper from American Crafts.

Have a wonderful Monday and tomorrow I will be posting the giveaway!

    going digital...

Working on a little something in the craft kitchen here and excited to share a sneak peek today.  I love digital art.  Printing when you need them, using different elements as it fits your project and using them along with your stamps, trims and favorite papers.  This is just one of the four tags that will be included in my first set.  Each set will include four jpeg files to use as you wish and include a variety of images, colors and sentiments.  The other tags will be showcased soon...
So, stay tuned for more.  The second set is in the works that will feature a pastel, shabby chic look.  Hope you are enjoying your Sunday!

    let them eat cake...

Spent some time wandering the aisles of the grocery store finding the perfect meal to cook tonight...and didn't forget the cake.  We frequent the bakery section of the store when our kids are in tow for the free cookies...I am usually staring down the frosted cakes, cupcakes and chocolate dipped strawberries.  Well, today I did it.  A chocolate and strawberry cupcake is waiting for us to dive right in...just hoping it tastes as good as it looks...yum!  So what a perfect day to share this project for Momenta...
A "piece" of cake favor or gift box, using a template from Creations by AR and layers of stamped Papertrey Ink and Momenta goodies...
When in doubt...find a template, fold and create something altered.  Working on a few new items to share with you very soon.  I have been in love with digital tags for quite awhile and creating my own set that can be printed on your own or already printed sets in my shop within the next week or so.  I have loved creating products over the past month and hope you have been enjoying them as well.  As I continue to play with ideas and materials ideas continue to sprout.  Before I go, I will have a giveaway up on my blog by Tuesday of next week.  Enjoy your weekend.

    with a little heart...

First, the winner of $10 gift certificate to Creative Paper Trail...Jennifer (#25). Just pop on over to the shop and let me know what you would like! Thank you so much to everyone who entered.  I will be putting up another giveaway this weekend.  Now to the share something created for Vintage Street Market yesterday...

This month's challenge, to use bingo cards in our creating.  So I pulled out the craft knife, needle and thread and transformed them into "frames" for the card and wall hang.  Love the Epiphany Crafts punched hearts and American Crafts foam letters mixed together.

So today is another one of those quiet, not much to say days and, although I never nap, finding that one may be needed.  My nights are restless, my mornings are early and the days are filled with cleaning and crafting...which I love, but need to break up the day a bit more. Hope you are all having a wonderful day and more excitement than I have here.

    lovely...

Time to roll with the "punches" and get creative this morning.  Hoping you are all having a lovely week so far.  Our house is a little more lively with my dear hubby home.  My heart longs for some cuddle time with my boys though, but the five phone calls yesterday helped a little.  Camping in the back yard, running around two acres of what we like to call "normal" grass, sitting by the camp fire and making s'mores...if only I could get my hands on one of these...and playing with the family dogs is keeping them busy.  I had planned to get out of the house for a few days while they were away...I can do anything, but there is something about being in a quiet home that is relaxing and quite enjoy it.  There is no guilt, stress, anxiety, friction...just a half way clean house, an empty non-tempting pantry and my creative space.  Recharge time.  Over the last couple of days I have begun to miss them and what better way to keep me smiling than to print out some photos and create a mini album.
This week's Pink Paislee theme is all about punches.  Many of the punches I used were from Epiphany Crafts.
Love mixing the collections.  So complimentary.  Have a great Tuesday.  Tomorrow is a super post so stay tuned.  Also, my shop will be stocked with new goodies Wednesday and Thursday, the winner of the drawing announced and a new giveaway before the week is out.

    its gotta be aqua...

Ok...all those in love with this challenge say "I"!  The color combination is dreamy and can imagine this being my front door.  Upon seeing this challenge I quickly pulled out the felt and went to work.
The Ribbon Girl shop carries bundles of wool blend felt with a wide range of colors, perfect in creating this butterfly.  Added dew drop pins, natural button twine and pale aqua pom pom trim from the shop as well.  The stamped calendar and sentiment tags are from Precious Remembrance.  So get out your aqua trims, stickers, papers, fabric and take this challenge for a chance to win on of two prizes...one being this amazing set...
    Enjoy!

    let something begin...

Day 2 - The house is still and quiet as I woke early once again to a busy day of ___________ (fill in the blank).  Yesterday was spent with adhesive in one hand and paper in the other and have a strong feeling this is how today will be spent.  Tomorrow?  Not quite sure, but I can see it all now...broom, vacuum, laundry...oh the fun will really begin then. Just as I begin to think about getting out of the house, livin' it up I suppose, the idea of putting on something other than sweat pants and flip flops makes me think otherwise.  So, for now, I will enjoy this time I get to craft, clean and turn up the music inside this cozy little place I call home.

I absolutely love everything about Riddersholm papers, ribbon and now these amazing mulberry flowers!  Today just sharing a felt and fabric bird ornament and card featuring these items.  If you head on over to the Riddersholm blog today you will see a very quick and easy tutorial on taking the flowers from white to color in seconds.  Realized it had been a little while since I stitched a felt bird so I went for it.  Created the fabric buttons to attach the wings using the i-top tool and a stamped tag using Precious Remembrance Positive Thoughts Stamp Set.
Also sharing a different color palette as well today using Chic Tags, Pink Paislee, The Ribbon Girl and Epiphany Crafts.
I adore this type of tag.  It is easy to create with a few slices of your cutter and two snips of the scissors.  Any size, any color and as many layers as it can hold.  You can find the blog post HERE from yesterday. Off to get to work.  I will be working on packing orders and new items to list in my shop this weekend.  Stay tuned!  The gift certificate giveaway is still open until Saturday...head on down to the blog post below to enter if you haven't already.  Everyone is welcome to enter!
