nothin' but a bloom...

A little music is playing in the background, a fresh cup of coffee to my left, the kids are off to school, my craft schedule is full of fun and just picked the first radish from my garden.   This may be a good day and the first of two posts to boot!  This week at American Crafts it is all about...

There are the stickers, paper, dimensional about ribbon?  With bits and pieces of ribbon scraps, and some fusible fleece on hand, these colorful blooms were created.

And how were they created?  Time to get out the ol' iron and fuse, fuse, fuse away.

All it takes is a little ribbon, Heat N Bond fusible fleece from Therm O Web and dies (used Sizzix as it cuts through layers perfectly).

Simply iron on ribbon to fleece.  Allow to cool to ensure bond was formed.  Die cut into flower/circle shapes and stitch together.  In the first card I used craft glue to adhere the layers, adding puffy stickers in between layers for added texture, dimension and color.

Speaking of fleece, how about the final reveal of orange beauty from yesterday?

Therm O Web will be spending the weekend at the Quilt Market show and the design team has begun featuring their projects using Pat Sloan's gorgeous new fabric and a variety of stitched projects.  Mine...a large tote that I can imagine will be by my side all summer!

Have a bright day...maybe using a bit of orange?
