celebrate today...

Where has the time gone?  Long time since I have posted.  A lot of things have been happening behind the scene here that I am ready to share.  About a month ago I decided it was time for me to officially step away from my craft table, pack up most of it and give a little more focus to my personal and family life.  It has been a slow process of breaking down my craft table, saying farewell to some amazing design teams and wrapping up a few projects that are the final ones on my list of to-dos.  Looking forward to the moments that I can capture and create just for me.

So, before I head off on our annual vacation and make it official, this will be one of my last posts here.  Time to celebrate an industry and group of crafters that continue to inspire me each and every day!  Thank you for everything and I may be popping in one or two more times when I return...until then have a wonderful summer!

So sad to hear it, Andrea, but I most certainly understand. I don't have near the commitments you did, but the time I spend on my blog as opposed to family or homemaking is scary sometimes, and something I constantly struggle with in the back of my mind. I keep thinking I can come to an easy balance at some point, but honestly don't know how that can happen. Thinking of you and so proud of your tough decision...I could be right there with you within the next year. Enjoy that vacation!!!

Wow, Andrea, I am sorry to hear of your decision. You are the most prolific, creative and innovative person I know. I will sure miss your posts. I can certainly understand your decision. As someone who stayed home and raised our kids then raised and homeschooled our grandson, I know I wouldn't have had time to do all of my cards as well and all I do is make them for personal use! Family first! Will miss you, Sherri in Phoenix

It shouldn't have been a surprise to read this post since you've been hinting at something like this for a little while now, but it still was. I will miss seeing your charming cards that are uniquely you. Enjoy this time with your family. It is so important and special for all of you.

Your work is breathtaking and inspiring and I will miss seeing it on a regular basis. I do understand a bit of where you are coming from; being on teams and being so involved in the industry can take a toll on personal and family life. I wish you the very best and hope that you have a wonderful vacation.

Know that I will continue to pop in to see if you have been creating. Your designs are so unique to you that I will miss seeing what your mind and hands have done.
Hopefully when summer is gone you will feel a need to come back. Til then.....Enjoy the boys.
