with a flower and a bow...

Another full post today, after one very late and busy evening.  Many more projects to be made, but wanted to share a few before I dive back in.  Working with American Crafts first, creating layers and layouts that use some of my favorites.

Love these new flower paperclips from American Crafts Yes Please collection.  Aren't they cute!  This next project, a layout, frames one of my favorite photo shoots with the boys...this one of my littlest man right before turning one.

His little tongue hanging out, which he still does once and awhile, and those kissable cheeks.  Oh my goodness, how I love this little guy!

Now on to the Create it Wednesday post for Precious Remembrance.  It is all about the sentiments, using them as borders/backgrounds and to make your statement.

This box set uses PR's Friends, Thanks, Birthday, Calendar and Love stamp sets (love to mix and match).  The papers are all from Pink Paislee's newest collection Cottage Farms and topped them all off with colorful ribbon and twine.

Just like the card states, enjoy today!  A little something more from The Scrappy Boutique's Glitz Color Me Happy product sampler.

Hope all of this color has brightened your day a bit.  Remember tomorrow I will be sharing my Lily Bee birthday blog hop project here with you.  For now, a little sneak peek...

all about the boy...

Yarn Information: If you are looking for the yarn used in my pom-pom tutorial it is Martha Stewart's cotton hemp (blue icing for bunny and lemon drop for chick).
Happy Tuesday!  Preparing for a couple of days of creating away.  My ideas are sketched out, my craft space is clean and the coffee is brewing.  Just can't believe that the end of February is only two days away!  Time to put that in the back of my mind today though and share a few projects.  As I mentioned yesterday I have been asked to design for The Scrappy Boutique using their amazing product samplers.  Sharing a couple of layouts using both the Uncharted Waters Glitz and Color Me Happy Glitz samplers.

Love this photo of my now six year old.  His first time on a swing.  Loved pairing this photo with these papers and embellishments.  So happy!  This second layout is using the Color Me Happy sampler...

All of that bright red and yellow.  Used a few additional items, such as American Crafts thickers and paint.

This photo is also from almost six years ago.  Those cheeks....love my boys!  Make sure to keep checking back throughout the week as I will be posting more projects using the samplers from Scrappy Boutique.

Next, something to put a little hop in your step today.  This week over on the Therm O Web blog, it is all about Pinterest inspiration.  Mine?

After digging into my fabric stash, I found strips of torn fabric to create a little something shabby chic, quilted and springy.

To create this basket weave pillow head on over to Therm O Web for instructions.  Topped the pillow with a bunny applique created from an outline found on Pinterest, white fabric, felt flowers and a handmade pom-pom (you should know by now how much I love these).

Have a creative day and enjoy no matter how big or small your moment or project is!  Be back tomorrow with the winner of the giveaway and a few more projects!

P.S:  This week Lily Bee is celebrating with a birthday themed blog hop...check it out.  Will be posting my project on Thursday!

let the week begin...

Hello fellow crafters!  After a weekend away I am back, feeling rested and ready to hit the craft room full force.  There is something about a couple of days away that causes me to run...sprint and, if possible, fly back to the crafting space that makes me one happy lady.  So here I am to finally share my pom-pom tutorial with you.

For this project I used Martha Stewart yarn.  I like the way that the threads just fall part more easily, but I am sure it will work with whatever you may have on hand...which is why I used blue for this bunny (my pickin's are slim right now).  Let me know if you have questions.

Over the past four years or so I have spent many hours enjoying a local scrapbook store here in Orlando, The Scrappy Boutique.  Well, over the past couple of months they have transitioned from a physical store to only online.  I was thrilled to be invited to design for them using their product samplers they have to offer.  Over the next week I will be sharing with you a few of the projects I have completed so far and giving you a little introduction to the talented ladies behind the shop.

This card was created using their Uncharted Waters product sampler from Glitz.  Not only do you receive a great assortment of papers and embellishments from Glitz, you also receive a few different types of trims, buttons and tags that are just amazing!

This second project is a sketch mini album using the same sampler and a Maya Road album I recently came across in my collection.

Love the colors of these papers and trims.  Head on over to take a look at both their sampler kits and inspiration.  Tomorrow I will be back to share a few layouts using this kit and another Glitz sampler.

Enjoy your day!

in the works...

Here comes Peter Cottontail...soon!  I have all of the photos taken for the pom-pom tutorial, but working with a tight schedule today. I am hoping, while I am up until after midnight this evening waiting for my parents to arrive, I will put this together and post it as soon as it is finished.  I spent the past few days continuing the spring cleaning and freeing some space in our closets and office for us actually to move and be creative.  One thing that I have found difficult to part with though...

I tend to keep all of my ink.  These are great for adding color to the edges of paper and some other reasons I am sure.  So they are staying (and this photo does not even include them all...yikes).  So things are looking cleaner, or until the next project is underway this evening with some Cricut cutting and Therm O Web inspiration hits.

Until tomorrow!

Vintage Chic Spring...

Are you in the mood for a little something sweet, vintage, chic and springy?  So boy...I am.  Was in the mood to create something completely different yesterday and found inspiration to create her.

So soft, perfect addition for spring and...although a little messy to make, worth every minute.  I am in love with creating pom-poms...not enough around here with three boys in the house.  Went to work finding inspiration and materials to create her using this photo from Pinterest as my inspiration.

(photo)
There is also a video of pom-pom creations on Martha Stewart that was kind of fun to watch.  This project was complete though without a home to place her.

Painted a small wooden basket white, added ribbon and braided fabric trim to around the basket using Therm O Web adhesive and topped it off with a vintage inspired handmade bloom with leaves.

In need of a little Easter greeting as well.  Added layers of Riddersholm Design paper from the Bello Pastello collections and handmade fabric braided trim.  Just love the look of the braided fabric, adding the right amount of color and shabby chicness that I was looking for.  Also added ribbon from Prairie Bird Boutique and stamped images from Papertrey Ink.

Hope you enjoyed the vintage chic spring project today.  If you are looking for the winners of my last two giveaways, check back first thing tomorrow when I will have the posted here.  Thank you everyone who participated.  It was such an amazing hop!

1 card, 2 card, 3 card, fold....

Time to wrap up the Valentine's goodies here, in more ways than one, with two more sets of projects today and tomorrow.  Although I love creating for this time of year, we rarely celebrate it in our house...and especially this year I need a sign on the door saying "no chocolate allowed".  Since the end of December I have been on a healthy living journey that has had many successes...one big change, no sugar (well, very limited).  Although things go along smoothly much of the time...my weaknesses are obvious certain yummy, gooey, chocolatey candies are present.  So, needless to say I will be happy when tomorrow has passed and time to build up some more will power before Easter comes our way...yikes!  But, on to the cards!

I realized the thing I love the most when using my Lily Bee products is creating all hand cut pieces.  So I decided to carry on with this in creating two cards that have been hand cut from the shaped card to the embellishments that are on top.  The theme this week on Lily Bee is "Love is in the Air" and oh how I love it!

The second is my favorite, using a variety of stamps, paper and nothing is complete without that foam adhesive ... and kind of miss creating these little birds.

Next up, it is Create It Wednesday at Precious Remembrance today!  Using a few layers of hearts to create a dimensional bloom for the coming of spring as well as the season of love!

So many layers of a few favorites.  Been awhile since I have used felt on a project and need to get back to that as it is a great material to work with.

Lastly, don't forget that tomorrow is the big American Crafts blog hop with a big giveaway right here!  Just a little more of a peek of what my project is all about...

So excited to share!  Also, if you haven't entered my current giveaway...check it out HERE.  You have until Friday.

The storm clouds are settling in, with a bit of cold weather that is very welcome right about now.  A perfect day for some craftiness, a good movie playing in the background and soup in the slow cooker.

See you tomorrow!
