the sweet, pink flower...

There is nothing sweeter than peeking out our window into a garden full of flowers this time of year.  After a hot, humid summer that prohibits anything from surviving I look forward to the change in seasons.  Today's blog hop project celebrates a thriving garden, shades of pink and something all girl.

To create this boutique, I began with constructing the flowers.  Beginning with the heart stamp from Positive Thoughts set, I stamped a flower onto cardstock using five stamped hearts in a circle pattern to make one flower layer.  Using a pink Tombow penI added a polka dot pattern to each stamped heart.  A lighter pink pen helped to enhance each dot.

The center of each flower has been created from a small circle punch, cardstock and the New Day stamp set bubble.  The stem of the flowers is a short bamboo skewer, inked in green and finished off with a stamped leaf from the newest Precious Remembrance set, Fall Colors.

Now for the fun part...
